Oreos and cleaning

Being gone all last week for the mornings with VBS, I realized that is when most of my housework gets done.  That being said, last week the house got neglected!  The cooler temperatures yesterday lent for a perfect cleaning morning.  It was so nice to have all the doors open!

Lindsey really likes to vacuum and, as we learned yesterday, Carson really likes to ride on the vacuum.

He was so funny hanging onto the hose while she pulled it.  It was a great way to keep him occupied.  I was able to get the middle floor and upstairs pretty clean.  Keep in mind that I don't have high standards when it comes to house cleaning.  (I am much more of a straightener than a cleaner.)

And just when I am feeling accomplished in my morning work, I walked past the stairs and see this:

I read that cleaning with kids in the house is like brushing your teeth while eating an Oreo.
I get it.

I'd much rather "work" on fundraising store stuff so place an order today! :)

  1. I love it and now I must confess how my cleaning went for today. Toys are EVERYWHERE!!! Like in my bathroom and the laundry room and the half bath, who needs a train in the bathroom??? So, tonight three industrial sized trash bags, five sleeping kids and I went to work. All that was not in cubbies in their room went in the bags. THREE HUGE bags tied and in my study. How long before they notice???

  2. Oh Kelly! Congratulations on your new little guy! He is such a doll! It's been awhile since I've popped in to check on adoption news. Apparently I'm way late! As for the cleaning, the o y reason I got half of what I did get done today was because one of my kiddos had a friend over. Somehow, this young lady kept three of them very busy. Made it much easier to accomplish my tasks. Alas, tomorrow is a new day and I may not be so
